Recipe: Spicy Celery Chicken

Here’s a recipe I really enjoyed. It uses Celery and chicken mince. Unable to buy Chicken mince at the local market I just went out and brought a super sharp meat cleaver (RMB 10) and minced the crap out of a chicken breast.

Ingredients:

Celery
Garlic (minced)
Ginger (minced)
Red Bean Paste
Soy Sauce
Fresh Chilli Peppers

  1. Mince the Chicken, and dice the Celery. I estimated about the same volume in bowls of Chicken mince and celery.
  2. Heat some oil in your wok, then add a generous dollop of red bean paste. Stirfry in the oil momentarily then add Ginger, diced Chillies and Garlic.
  3. Add Chicken mince and stir fry until translucent.
  4. Add Celery pieces and about a tablespon of Soy Sauce. Stiy fry

There you go. Super easy and delicious.

Stumbled across your blog and I dig it.
I like the sounds of this recipe. Simple, yet tastey. I think I’ll give it a shot. I used to cook a lot back in the states, but even after being in China for about a year, I still have yet to really try my hand at Chinese dishes. These kinds of dishes are a nice way to get started though.
