Recipe: Spicy Celery Chicken
2008 May 21
Here’s a recipe I really enjoyed. It uses Celery and chicken mince. Unable to buy Chicken mince at the local market I just went out and brought a super sharp meat cleaver (RMB 10) and minced the crap out of a chicken breast.
Ingredients:
Celery
Garlic (minced)
Ginger (minced)
Red Bean Paste
Soy Sauce
Fresh Chilli Peppers
- Mince the Chicken, and dice the Celery. I estimated about the same volume in bowls of Chicken mince and celery.
- Heat some oil in your wok, then add a generous dollop of red bean paste. Stirfry in the oil momentarily then add Ginger, diced Chillies and Garlic.
- Add Chicken mince and stir fry until translucent.
- Add Celery pieces and about a tablespon of Soy Sauce. Stiy fry
There you go. Super easy and delicious.

Stumbled across your blog and I dig it.
I like the sounds of this recipe. Simple, yet tastey. I think I’ll give it a shot. I used to cook a lot back in the states, but even after being in China for about a year, I still have yet to really try my hand at Chinese dishes. These kinds of dishes are a nice way to get started though.
