Today I broke a cardinal rule of bacon.

Having braved Suzhou’s torrential rain I returned home to change our of my then sopping suit, when I had the sudden and familiar pangs of bacon craving. Bacon hasn’t always been so easy to come by in China. When I first moved over here in 2005, bacon, as well as cheese were among the first staple Items i had to do without until Yun Run “Elaborate” bacon hit Yantai supermarket shelves in mid 2006.

Having shed my rain drenched suit, I set about satisfying the need at hand. Bacon. The first rule of bacon: don’t fry it in your underwear, especially if you like it crispy.

Which led me to dig up this little gem coutesy of the internets.
